Soft skills are the new competitive advantage. Despite your analytical or technical brilliance, do you retain the talent you want, have low levels of politics at your office, and have a culture of moving reliably well through challenging conversations at work? If yes, excellent! If not, this could be a great workshop for you.

We'll focus on practicing a conversational structure that yields good outcomes when you need to have or are in a challenging conversation, including a nonviolent communication-based framework, getting a solid sense of what empathy is and isn't, and why even the smartest people people become unreasonable--and how to navigate it when it happens. This will be heavy in experiential learning by going through exercises, and it will provide some research-based theory to provide frameworks. This is especially important for leaders, as leaders set culture, and it's excellent for individuals at any level in an organization.
