"The Corona virus pandemic has resulted in a great deal of change in people's nature of work. Women can be the most vulnerable to this dangerous change, feeling isolated and overworked. As a part of this workshop, I would like to brainstorm and identify ways to lead through this pandemic and use this as an opportunity to create gender equity in STEM subjects which is needed now more than ever. As a mother of two young kids and expecting my third at the end of July next year, I would like to share some of my struggles through the pandemic to see if it echoes with the audience. Rather than seeing this as a challenge, I have taken this pandemic an opportunity to create interest in STEM subjects amongst the future generation by showing them the powerful world of science. With innovative engineering solutions such as using plasma for sanitizing surfaces developed at Princeton Plasma Physics Laboratory, scientific research to study the behavior of the corona virus spread and the development of vaccines, now is the time to inspire the future generation to become inspirational women engineers and together we can do it."
