Technology has the power to accelerate and scale solutions to global challenges. However, without fully understanding or thoughtfully approaching these challenges, it equally has the power to aggravate large-scale social issues. 

In tech circles, we often hear about the positive potential impacts of emerging technologies, from AI to 5G, Blockchain to Biometrics; and most in the industry genuinely want to leverage these tools for good. That said we know from past and present examples that good intent is only the beginning.

Using a lens of systems change, we’ll explore the beneficial and harmful potential of emerging technologies and the behaviors and practices that can encourage responsible social innovation. We’ll also discuss why social innovation is critical during a global pandemic when we have an opportunity to reimagine our systems, societies, and how we engage with technology.
