Sandra Robinson

Biography

Sandra L. “Candy” Robinson, 2017 IEEE-USA President-Elect, is currently a Software Engineering Manager for Lockheed Martin MST, assigned to the F-35 program. She worked as a design and software engineer for Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, the Superconducting Super Collider Laboratory, and for the Boeing Company.  She has published papers at the IEEE Nuclear Science Symposium and for the SWE National Convention. She is a Distinguished Toastmaster, ACM member, IEEE Certified Software Development Professional (CSDP), and Life member of SWE. She has served in many career guidance activities, including MathCounts, IEEE's Teacher in Service Program (TISP), Girl Scout badge workshops, science fair judging, career fair presentations, Expanding Your Horizons conference chair and presenter, and Future Cities judge. She received a BSEE degree from the University of Texas at Austin (1977), an MSCS degree from the University of California at Davis (1986), and an MBA in Engineering and Technology Management from the University of Dallas (1999).
