Participant Registration Process for IEEEXtreme. IEEEXtreme 15.0 WHAT IS IEEEXTREME? IEEEXtreme is a global challenge in which teams of IEEE Student members – advised and proctored by an IEEE member, and often supported by an IEEE Student Branch – compete in a 24-hour time span against each other. ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (Participant): 1) All participants must be IEEE members (Student members or Graduate Student member-only) to register and compete in the competition. IEEE membership numbers are required.

If you are not a member of IEEE, JOIN TODAY: https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/index.html 2) Participants must compete as part of a team of up to three IEEE Student or Graduate Student members. Teams should only include a maximum of two Graduate Student members per team. 3) Universities and colleges can have multiple teams. 4) Each team must have a proctor to supervise during the 24-hour programming competition. 5) Team members must solve and complete the problems without assistance from others.

REGISTRATION GUIDELINES: STEPS TO REGISTER AS A PARTICIPANT.

Step 1. Open the vTools Registration Platform

Step 2. Log in with your IEEE account. If you are not a member of IEEE, JOIN TODAY https://www.ieee.org/membership/join/index.html

Step 3. Fill in the below information: Team Name, School, Country, Zip Code, Specify the details of each team member (max 3)

HOW TO PREPARE FOR IEEEXTREME?

1. Gather your team. Up to 3 IEEE student members may compete together.

2. Locate your proctor. Proctors should be IEEE members of higher membership grades (not undergraduate or Graduate Student members). Student Branch Counselors, Department Chairs, or IEEE Young Professionals members make great proctors.

NOTE: If you are not able to find a Proctor, you may request someone to register as a Proctor. Proctors must be IEEE members of higher membership grades. Student or Graduate Student Members are not allowed to proctor but are encouraged to participate as team members in the competition.
