Alan Mantooth

Biography

Dr. Alan Mantooth serves as a Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Arkansas and holds the 21st Century Chair in Mixed-Signal IC Design and CAD. He has over 18 years of experience developing models, and modeling methods and tools. Dr. Mantooth served for eight years at Analogy (now a part of Synopsys, Inc.), where he directed a team of 10 engineers on a modeling tool research Advanced Technology Program. He holds three patents on software architecture for modeling and simulation tools and has published over 100 refereed articles on models and modeling tools. He has developed semiconductor device models for MOSFETs, diodes, power diodes, IGBTs, SCRs, and SiC merged Schottky/PiN diodes, SiC MOSFETs, and SiC SITs and JFETs. Dr. Mantooth holds a Ph.D. from Georgia Tech.
